With talks already surfacing on some of the best sneakers of this decade, it seems Nike is getting a bit nostalgic as it takes a small departure back to the Triple Red schemes made overwhelmingly popular thanks to the legendary Air Yeezy 2 “Red October.” Essentially a small window into the past though through a filter of modern releases, the Air Max 270 draws from this once trending scheme with little to no extra colors in the way. Colors from the mesh base to even the Air bubble itself are doused in the vibrant, bold pigment, deviating only by way of its different textures; the upper itself mostly blends into itself as it transitions from toe boxes to tongues and on, yet the swooshes at the forefoot and profile standout thanks to their being raised from the flatter backdrop. Webbing does so as well as only due to its more malleable structure while the cushioned heel stands out the furthest as it bears a much darker tint.
